Stoicism & Comedy with Muk Venkataraman | #5

Creator of Gorilla Strong Kettlebell System, Muk Venkataraman catches more than cleans and snatches on a stand-up comedy stage. Transitioning career identities in your 40s but as Muk says, don't take anything too seriously. If you're not having fun with it, then don't do it. Simple
Muk Venkataraman has been known as the kettlebell specialist for over a decade.  This Hong Kong native coached athletes and trainers all over the world for over a decade and is the first athlete from Asia to compete in Russia in the sport of kettlebell lifting, earning a silver medal at that event.  But Muk ain’t a pretty face, to quote him.  Recently, he has been sharing the one side of himself that he’s absolutely stoked about - being known as a comedian. Simple

In this episode, we talked about what stand up comedy means to him, insecurities and validation, using race and accents as material and resonating identities.
