Today’s conversation is with Ramona Pascual.  This Tedx speaker is Hong Kong's first professional mixed martial arts fighter signed to a regional promotion, Road Fighting Championship. Ramona is also the first female ever to headline a fight event and compete for a mixed martial arts championship title in Hong Kong. She was previously on the Hong Kong Women’s Rugby team and is also an active competitor in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai.

In this episode, we talked about inadequacy - how that stems from the environment we grew up in and moulds our adulthood and buried deep in the narratives throughout our lives, between safe choices and pursuing fulfilment, what shook her to the core during her MMA career, and the hopes of empowering others.  Enjoy this deep dive

Y’all, you gotta check out this jiu-jitsu based non-profit called Tap Cancer Out.
Tap Cancer Out unites the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu community and empowers competitors to fight for more than just points and medals - they fight for those who are in the fight of their lives—and they’re helping Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation change the lives of children with cancer and their families by funding critical research grants and family services.  If you’re in the US, you can get involved through jiu-jitsu tournaments either competing or volunteering, as well as fundraise for TCO.  If you’re out of the US, you can still fundraise to benefit TCO, and you can get any of their super cool merch like rash guards, tees, hoodies, bags, and more.
